October 2003 – January 2009Responsible for ensuring compliance with required Norms & Procedures, together with best possible levels ofcommercial performance (labour & parts sales) and customer satisfaction, of 20 Citroën Authorised Repairersin Kent, Sussex and the Channel Islands.Also responsible for control of guarantee budget, completion of recall campaigns, submission of IncidentReports, PDI quality and franchising activity in this area.June 1999 – September 2003Responsible for implementation of After Sales procedures and programmes as defined by the parent company. Translation, adaptation, design, production and distribution of all related training, reference and POS materials.Also responsible for all dealership Corporate Identity areas, from clothing to signage, with an annual budget of £1.25m and joint tender exercise with sister company (Peugeot Motor Co) for the provision of breakdown assistance.Directly managing one member of staff as well as presenting various tasks to 15-strong field force and delivering relevant training.February 1994 – May 1999Responsible for identification, investigation and analysis of customer-reported symptoms relating to the complete Citroën model range.All reports and suggestions being fed back to and discussed with the relevant factory and design personnel in French.

Responsible for the conception, design, installation and subsequent management of a new (computerized) claims handling system, controlling an annual budget in excess of £1 million and providing management information including drivers’ claims records.In charge of two claims assistants and two inspectors.

Responsible for complete refurbishment and subsequent management of a small “village garage” with forecourt, shop, workshop (mechanical and bodywork) and car sales, managing two staff.

Responsible for ensuring the compliance of all Citroën vehicles with GB National Type Approval legislation in order to achieve said approval to commercial deadlines. All documentation being supplied by the parent company necessitated fluency in spoken and “faxed” French.

Responsible for maximising the after sales performance of between 20 – 25 Citroën Dealers throughout Kent, Sussex, Surrey and South London. This being achieved through daily contact with all levels of dealer personnel and Citroën UK management.

Four year apprenticeship followed by three years during which progressively more responsibility was assumed for the running of four-bay, non-franchised workshop.
