I moved to Dubai after visiting and seeing the potential market and business development opportunities that I could reach out too. Being new to the region, I had to build completely new contacts, clients and define marketing routes from day one of opening SY Studios. I managed all areas including; Set up and licensing, Refurbishment and fitting of the studio, Daily operations of the studio, Accounting, Public Relations, Marketing, Sales, Photography, Image Editing, and Graphic Design in-put to all promotional materials. Whilst managing a team of editors, photographers, admin staff and make-up artists.SY Studios is still running with a successful turn over, whilst continuing to develop and grow as a 360 business

After being talent spotted at my ‘end of year design show’ and being personally recommended by my university professor, I was employed at Revolve as the Studio Manager.Being a start up company, I had a huge in-put to the opening of the business and the success it is today. As Studio Manager I was involved with many aspects within the company including; photo-shoots, editing, promotions, sales, team building and managing a team of 10 staff. Making sure we hit our dialing targets and our weekly KPI’s as a team and individually. It was key for me that I would generate 1,000 GBP of revenue from the photography sales, on average per-day to hit my personal targets. This experience then helped me built the foundations and industry knowledge to open my own studio

Throughout my education, I represented Team GB in international events as a professional skier. During this period of time I was lucky enough to frequently travel and visit many countries around the globe, giving me brilliant experience dealing with all nationalities, languages and cultures.Whilst Skiing, I had to source my own sponsors including; Fisher, Superdry, Adidas and Land Rover. Along with this I had to liaise with media for coverage and event publicity. These are now skills that I have been able to apply in the business world, whilst giving me a competitive drive and commitment in all jobs that I face.
