I managed six concurrent project workstreams which migrated 3,000 users, eradicated high-cost legacy and redundant systems, and rationalised multi-environment user access to single technology platforms and accounts. I worked from director level downwards, collaborated with enterprise and solutions architects and matrix-managed onshore and offshore teams of 15+.

I captured conceptual thinking, translated it into high-level functional requirements and led a cross-functional team of ten through the complete product lifecycle, including testing and environmental verification to deliver manufacturing ready high-volume low-cost fuel cells using innovative materials.

During the acquisition of Goodrich by UTC, I was handpicked to lead £MM primary flight control system programme from concept to detailed design phase for the Embraer C-390 aircraft. The project included all mechanical, electrical, electronic and software engineering aspects combined with full modelling and simulation testing, material and supplier selection, and quality control and initial qualification. I directed multidisciplinary engineering team of 20, drove conceptual design thinking that reduced costs and weight while controlling RAID logs and managing customer expectations to successfully deliver proof of concept on time, on budget and to requirements.

After the merger of TRW and Goodrich, I was assigned to the three-year A380 primary flight control systems development project as part of a £MBN programme to develop solutions for Airbus. I led design and delivery of the system which has subsequently achieved unprecedented mean time before failure performance. In 2005, I was called on by senior leadership to complete the initial power distribution project on the Dassault 7X programme and then lead five-year full redesign, redevelopment, recertification and in-service replacement of a cost- and weight-reduced variant, which was successfully brought into service to client requirements.
