DA Group was a software company specialising in character based animations (avatars) used in mobile phone content, applications and messaging solutions. I identified suitable markets for DA products, targeting prospective clients, developing sales collateral and business cases. Over the course of this 2-year engagement, I built relationships with key players in the market and secured 15 contracts. DA won worldwide acclaim for the creation of the intellectual property behind the Press Association’s Ananova (the world’s first virtual newscaster) and went on to achieve a market capitalisation of over £80M.

Having delivered two Billing and CRM projects I moved into a commercial Channel Management role and then on to a direct Business Development role, eventually becoming Global Sales Manager for the EPPIX Billing and CRM solution. During this time Computer Answers was purchased by CMG which was in turn taken over by Logica.- Delivered an upgrade project in South Africa and a replacement project in Bulgaria, both on time and budget. This included selling additional changes and services whilst the projects were underway.- Nurtured Computer Answers relationship with Ericsson from 1 existing project (in Libya) to further 6 sales worth £8.25m in Iran, Syria, Palestine, Montenegro, Bosnia Herzegovina and Cuba.- Sold direct Billing and CRM projects in Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago (Computer Answers first projects in the Americas) worth £5.5m.- Grew and Managed Sales Team to a total of 16, including 6 Sales People, 7 Sales Support Consultants and 3 Bid Centre staff.- During the transition from Computer Answers to CMG and on to Logica I became a director of a FTSE 100 company.

Joined the UK service provider Talkland in a Technical Support role in the IT department. From this position I progressed into a Technical Architect role and on to Project Management managing a team of 5 Project Managers delivering IT solutions to address different issues within the Talkland organisation.
