To plan, direct, manage, control and implement set corporate, business and operational strategies through provision of leadership, direction and highly specialized supervision to the functional General Managers and Directors to ensure ZAMTEL’s mission, vision and objectives to provide effective, competitive and profitable telecommunications services country-wide are achieved in accordance to set business goals and targets.•Assists the Board determine ZAMTEL’s values, mission, vision, short and long term operational and business plans through the provision of accurate, detailed and comprehensive operational information on the position of the company in the business environment and assists the Board determine and articulate the company’s relevance to the community it serves, its effectiveness and results to the major stakeholders (Government).•Chairs administrative and operational meetings such as Executive Management Committee (EMC) meetings with General Managers and Directors and the Joint Industrial Council (JIC) gatherings With the Labour Union to ensure effectiveness in company operations as well as fostering industrial harmony.•Develops and maintains effective strategic relationships with key stakeholders including Government shareholders, Financial Institutions, customers and partners. , Regulating agencies, Competitors, Suppliers, Contractors and Cooperating partners.•Acts as the chief company spokes person and advocate within the public and private sectors, publicizes the activities of the organization, its business programs, services and goals to members, agencies, business partners, government, and the general public to ensure awareness of the company’s activities.
