    Overview:Having already started as a Lead Design Engineer in the early days of NVIDIA's Systems Engineering team, as this team grew I took on a direct management role at NVIDIA overseeing all design aspects of the PCB design and the demanding cutting edge performance for NVIDIA's GPU productsAs the team continued to grow I was made Director of Systems PCB Engineering - NVIDIA's global PCB design team in 2000.Experience:Throughout, I was often the principle driver of PCB specifications, performance and design approach, within in increasing complex design process flow with demanding usage of PCB Design CAD tools, with considering for Design For Manufacturing specifications, topology design, topology extraction, signal analysis and simulation, signal skew control, crosstalk minimization and other aspects. I amassed detailed design and application experience in; graphics system design, high-speed synchronous and source-synchronous high speed PCB signal layout with clock and signal matching, controlled impedance PCBs and effects of PCB stackup - all with a variety of signalling standards including PCI Express, PCI and Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP), 1X, 2X and 4X, TMDS, DDR, GDDR; low thermal resistance PCB design practices, using heatsinks and fansinks; high power regulator applications and thermal implications Detailed knowledge of BGA package design, netlisting, signal optimisation for complex package to package wide/multiple bus trace routing.Design customer reference designs and ‘direct-manufacture’ PCBs.Tools: CADENCE Allegro/APD, SigXP, Skill tools, Valor Enterprise DFM Analysis, Schematic capture tools including Concept, OrCAD Capture 7.1, 7.2 for Windows.
