Experienced composite Operations Manager with over twelve years experience of F1, motorsport and automotive composite manufacture, responsible for delivering the highest quality composite components, on time, in full to the most demanding and prestigious customers in the UK. Over the last 7 years since re-joining Crosby Composites I have managed the new Wellingborough site, from start-up and shell of a building, to ramping up production and infostructure to over 130 employees across 2 shifts.

One of three project managers, I looked after multiple F1 projects and a number of other motorsports customers, I managed these customers accounts and was responsible for everything to do with their components; from taking initial CAD, chairing design meetings where we decide how to make the part, quoting, negotiating prices, order processing, co-ordinating material/inserts etc, scheduling manufacture and product development. Finally I worked with our quality manager addressing any quality issues - either raising concessions upfront or dealing with NCRs once the components have left/returned to the factory.

Initially working in electronics division of the company, I looked after every aspect of the production process, from order processing, supervising production staff, setting up production machinery, ensuring parts leave on time - this part of my role built strong project management and communication skills.I was responsible for stock control, my remit included sourcing, negotiating prices, purchasing components, which developed my confidence and buying/negotiation skills.As I oversaw the whole process, I was involved in costing jobs; through gathering the most competitive prices for components, estimating how long the job will take and performing analysis once the job was complete, to see if the costing was correct.In the last year of employment here, I took on a portion of the prototype work for the other division of the company - plastic enclosures. I drew these based on the customer's requirements and machined them myself on 3 axis CNC machines.With this increased workload flexibility and the ability to adapt was key in planning my workload, while ensuring the productive's had everything and all the information they need to maintain production levels.
