I created a SOAP server in Delphi to contain the business logic and legacy code. I created a PHP web site communicating with the back end via SOAP with web pages generated incorporating CSS, HTML and Javascript. Project 2. A Gift Card SystemI designed and built a web service incorporating encryption for the registration, topping up and redemption of Gift Cards. I wrote a Delphi module to allow the existing till software to interface with the Gift Card Server. I wrote a web site for card registration and balance check.Project 3. Gift Card Payment GatewayI added functionality to the Gift Card server to allow gift cards to be redeemed when purchasing on the e-commerce server.

A typical Mamut implementation involves analysis of the client business processes, tailoring the software to suit the company, importing a clean set of data from existing systems and providing training to ensure that each operator in the client company receives the correct training to do their job. Contracted to provide IT Support and to give advice and help on how to improve IT Infrastructure and Business Systems. I began with audits of all IT Infrastructure and Business Systems. We then drew up a plan that involved the replacement of some IT Hardware and the implementation of a server on one of the two sites. It became clear that the Business Systems were not integrated sufficiently, resulting in a lot of manual re-keying and potential for mistakes, so I designed, developed and implemented a web-based integrated solution. I also provided full time IT Support and resolved a number of long-standing IT issues.

I was contracted by the Scottish Enterprise as a Consultant under the e-Business Adviser program, a scheme provided to enable companies to maximise growth through the use of ICT. I was part of a pool of ICT Consultants following a well-defined project process.
