Supported and produced safety cases during design, installation and operation of equipment for the retrieval and dewatering of intermediate level waste resin and sludge and the aqueous discharge abatement plant to ensure UK regulatory compliance. Project managed the delivery of the B13 (Sellafield) safety case long term periodic review and responsible for the production and delivery of safety cases to a range of clients both nationally and internationally drawing on my plant experience, ensuring fitness for purpose and ease of safety case implementation.Involved in bid preparation for the Magnox.

I was responsible for the transition to the new continued operations safety case for the HA facility. This involved liaison with external companies, the safety and risk management team and with the Sellafield projects team. Another important aspect was dealing with the challenge of new sample streams from legacy plants around the Sellafield site in a safe.

First point of contact for three two-man shift teams and one two-man day team, prioritising daily and weekly workloads, liaising with teams of engineers and electricians to enable vital maintenance work to be carried out and also supervising the analysis by ICP-OES. The job involved being the laboratory duly authorised person (DAP), person organising work.
