I managed the Financial Control team, whose purpose was to deliver high quality monthly financial results through processes improvement and standardisation. • As a result of a major change, the finance structure was changed to centralise the 54 accountants (split between Auckland and Wellington) who posted journals, performed reconciliations and delivered reporting into a team separate from those who partnered the business.• As leader my role was to build the team, the processes and the culture from a very low base.• Offshore to Bangalore suitable work and associated headcount approx. 20 roles), giving me exposure to change management, restructures, redundancies and personal grievance processes.• I played a large part in the finance stream of NZS project bringing together the ANZ and NBNZ core banking systems, my understanding of the GL and processes were an important factor in balancing the system conversion to the cent.
