As a professional actor, I was always interested in the difference drama can make to people’s lives. Much of my performance work was with companies that endeavoured to take theatre to people that might not ordinarily get a chance to see it. Working with the homeless community, refugees and disadvantaged young people increasingly led me to the role of the facilitator, devising and creating work that helped raise people's self-esteem and confidence. A move into Learning and Development was natural for me. After many years as a freelance actor and facilitator, I began a full-time role with Steps Drama in 2002. I am a proud shareholder of Steps - and sit on our Global Board. I lead on the establishment of our US business and my work focuses solely on that region as a Client Relationship Director. I sat on the City HR Steering group, hosted by the Bank of England, that looked at Diversity in the City and was on the D and I Faculty at BP after the Deepwater disaster. I was also on the Board of the London Bubble Theatre Company for 10 years.
