About Simon Tie
Currently a MS in Operations Research student at Columbia University with a passion in the nexus of quantitative and qualitative methods in investing. Previously, I received a BEng (Hons) degree in Financial Technology in Hong Kong and held a full-time position at a FinTech startup affiliated with Columbia University where I led the data engineering team and pitched product to clients. During this Summer, I developed an end-to-end quantamental trading system for US equity. I’m hoping to work on challenging problems relating to the financial market that require both attention to detail and a big picture perspective.
