Working with architects and designers along with flooring contractors to gain specifications in many sectors within the industry including Hospitality and Leisure, Exclusive Retail Outlets, Marine and Office Developments

Working within the flooring industry, visiting existing accounts, sourcing new opportunities and gaining specification for a full range of flooring products. I started my time within the Headlam group working in the North West on an area which had not had any representative for almost two years and which the turnover and customer base was almost non-existent. I proceeded to turn this around and opened up new business opportunities and developed the brand within the area. Once I had showed two years of continuous growth I was asked to take over the Yorkshire area which had been in decline for some time, a challenge I relished. So for a short period I was covering the entire Northern region until somebody was found to cover the North West. I took up the challenge and started to develop my new area. Whilst with JHS I have consistently increased my areas turnover and improved the margin on those sales. I have experience in dealing with all levels of the industry from the flooring contractors and retailers, to architects, designers and procurement managers and directors of national companies. I am a committed team player but can also work under my own initiative.

Achieved sales and margin increases year-on-year, by developing new and growing existing relationships. Promoted new products and marketing opportunities, including new point of sale and advertising within national publications.

Working within the rug industry, covering the North of England. Developed new relationships and serviced existing accounts. Unfortunately I was made redundant before I feel I could make a positive impact.
