CurrentBackgroundSimon graduated from Manchester University in 1986 and joined IID that year as an RIBA Part II student. He became a Partner in 1997 and a Director upon IID’s conversion to a limited company in 2008.Simon has particular experience in formulating long term development plans in close collaboration with clients, realising imaginative solutions to their building needs often within the context of listed buildings and planning sensitive sites. He has been Director in charge of a wide range of projects in both the state and independent sectors.Over the years, the projects Simon has been involved with have won several design awards including a RIBA Housing Design Award, three Richmond Society Awards, three Kingston Society Townscape Awards, a RICs Community Benefit Award and Waverly District Council People’s Choice Award – all of which reflect his concern to engage with local communities as well as his own clients. Outside of the practice, Simon has a passion for Arts & Crafts architecture, playing classical guitar and following Manchester United from the comfort of his armchair.Qualifications : BA (Hons) BArch RIBA
