I am a highly experienced React / Typescript frontend developer, with over 11 years experience of delivering scaleable solutions for a variety of different clients and sectors. I have a wide gamut of technical knowledge that spans both frontend and backend areas, however my strongest skills lie in frontend UI implementations and API integration delivery. I was part of the team responsible for ensuring that the UI is scalable and resilient enough to deal with billions of requests per day. I have experience in developing for and configuring the CampusM product and proven integration experience with SOAP & REST APIs, integrating PeopleSoft with Campus M, WPM and applications using React. Primarily this work was for the successful integration of a new student mobile application platform.I have a strong interest in responsive design and user interaction interfaces and channel all development work through these concepts where possible to improve the user experience and journey through the application.Prior to this I had several years of experience as a functional analyst in the HE sector, gathering requirements and providing functional specifications for development requests, challenging decisions where necessary and contributing to solutions.I have a background in web design and commercial photography which led me to work as a wedding photographer and also a web developer for several years, providing a full planning to wedding album delivery. This has given me a keen eye for design that compliments my UI development work.I have an established foundation in customer service, over a range of establishments from banking to retail which provided the core for my service delivery ethics.
