My position involves being in charge of all technical operations within a small establishing business with unique and game changing solutions with the Swedish CCTV market. I have been instrumental along with the business owner in establishing a profitable company throughout the last 12 months. The business provides CCTV specialist design and installations with 90% of the business involving IP video. I manage the installation employees and project manage all the installation tasks. I deliver the right products and create the best fit solutions within the installation budget and also importantly time schedule to meet timeframes. Alongside this I select all the products that achieve quality, reliability, longevity but still at a competitive price to maintain/increase sales. I research and become familiar with these products and deliver training to both salespeople and technicians to meet their individual requirements on the particular product. I create unique technical solutions that are effective, that deliver the wants and needs of the customer and give our salespeople a point of difference. For one example I have created a video alarm central consisting over 30 customers using advanced products and technologies to accomplish this.

The position involved serving the general CCTV business within the branch, preparing quotes for projects and general CCTV installations, providing advice on appropriate products to suit the requirements. I considerably increased the CCTV sales during the first year which resulted in CCTV becoming a more significant part of the business and a place for growth. I tested new products to see the pros and cons of the new item so I could give my customer a personal evaluation on what I thought of the product. I also extensively increased my knowledge and work experience to be competent in the Access Control, Locks, Intercoms and Alarm products. These products were part of the suite of items that I quoted on a regular basis. Another major part of my position was technical support on the CCTV products in particular Digital Recorders and Analogue cameras.

Whilst at Pacom and HTS I gained an extensive knowledge of IP, analogue, wireless and other transmission solutions for CCTV, this has given me the foundation of my CCTV career. Another great opportunity while at Pacom was being able to work as part of the team assigned to the CML project.
