I am a dedicated and versatile professional with a rich background in service-oriented roles, beginning with my tenure in the Australian Army. As a Military Policeman specialising in Close Personal Protection, I served full-time for six years and continue to contribute as a reservist. My military experience instilled in me a profound commitment to service and leadership, which I have carried into my civilian career.After transitioning from the Defence Force, I sought to channel my passion for helping others into new arenas. I worked as a Detention Youth Worker at a Youth Detention Centre, where I quickly advanced to Section Supervisor. In this role, I was driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people from marginalised and trauma-affected backgrounds.My journey continued as a Social Connection Liaison Officer at Mates4Mates, where I supported veterans and their families by organising social activities and collaborating with allied health professionals to provide holistic care. Currently, I serve as a Team Leader in the Student Administration Department at Australian Catholic University. Here, I oversee service assistants, provide customer service and support, and collaborate with the Student Veteran Services and Future Students teams to seek out and engage in opportunities for promoting tertiary education within the Townsville community.Education and CertificationsTo deepen my understanding and ability to support individuals with trauma and mental health challenges, I completed a Diploma in Mental Health. I also hold a certificate in Trauma-Informed Coaching and am pursuing Embodied Processing and Neurolinguistic Programming courses.
