I joined Maylarch in 1999 as part of the senior management team, they were a small family business involved in construction and small development projects looking to diversify into the demolition Industry. I immediately became proactive in the Company's expansion and the development of the business into the successful environmental services provider that they have become. I was rewarded in the early years by being gifted shares in the organisation.I was instrumental in devising and implementing the strategy for the business from the early years to the present day. Over this period, the Company evolved to become a trusted provider of Demolition, Licensed Asbestos Removal and accredited Asbestos Surveying Services to a widening client base.As part of the growth strategy, we developed a management and support staff infrastructure to ensure the controlled expansion was sustainable.During my tenure, the Company saw an increase in turnover from £250k p/a in 1999 to £5M plus and staff levels increasing from 5 to 50 plus.Responsibilities of the role extended to all areas of business operation and included:• Recruitment, training, and the development and management of personnel• Contract and account management and the development of profitable relationships with clients to ensure business growth• Developing services to ensure business growth, for example, the implementation of an asbestos surveying service as a result of the introduction of new legislation.• Developing and implementing marketing and business development strategies.• Development and implementation of compliance and procedural policies, creating the framework to support sustainable growth.
