I am a Chartered Engineer and IRSE Engineering Manager (Design) licence holder. I’ve held various roles in Rail Signalling projects since 2013. Prior to that I worked in NR signalling maintenance from 2001 to 2013.In my current role of Technical Director at BWB Consulting, I am responsible for implementing / improving rail specific elements of the QHSE management systems and for the rail engineering assurance processes & procedures. I’m also responsible for the technical leadership for the signalling discipline, competence and development across all disciplines and ensuring discipline specific technical standards occur for all the rail team. At Linbrooke as Head of Signal Engineering, I had a team of engineers working on projects such as Nether Poppleton Level Crossing Upgrade, Nexus Metroflow Capacity project, West Hampstead Re-Control and Life Extension Works project, Anglia VAMOS Level Crossing project, HABD upgrades, to name a few. I supported the implementation of these schemes and reviewed / implemented assurance processes to ensure compliance. I was also Professional Head of Signalling responsible for delivering technical briefings. As BWB Consulting Technical Manager, I:Supported CAF Australia on the Parramatta Light Rail scheme, working as Signalling Project Engineer for the development phase.Supported VRSB as CRE Siganlling (Design) for the Chiltern ATP Risk Mitigation Project GRIP5 & 6 works. Supported Wabtec Control Systems with the development of the Guinea PTC rail system, as part of the Wayside team.Acted as CEM (Design) for Radlett Strategic Rail Freight Interchange GRIP3.I also supported BWB Rail Group by developing company specific engineering assurance standards and processes. At Network Rail, I was:NRDD Design Manager working on a mixture of large, multi-discipline projects and smaller, single discipline asset management funded schemes. IP Signalling Project Engineer / DPE working on a mixture of schemes, including Lead Signalling Engineer on the London to Corby Electrification scheme, Project Engineer on Derby Re-modelling, Designated Project Engineer on East Nottingham Modular Re-signalling and Automatic Open Crossings plus Barriers (AOCL&B) schemes
