As the Australasia representative for the global Banking Technology client relationship team, my prime responsibility was to manage the relationship between technology and the business in Australia and New Zealand, covering four office locations and over two hundred employees.Main achievements:➤ Client Relationship Management - marketing the value of technology as a business solutions provider by organizing quarterly technology presentations with senior business stake holders, chairing monthly banker feedback forums and directly selling the benefits of technology to end-users. Maintaining constant dialogue resulted in: ✤ Business leadership awareness of how technology could be used to improve banker productivity and efficiency ✤ Better feedback from bankers on the floor as they started to appreciate some of the time gained from the use of the tools provided➤ Communication Strategy – I developed an effective digital communication strategy to increase the user adoption of applications: ✤ Instigated and edited a monthly IBD Technology newsletter which was sent to global IBD. This involved collecting content ideas from product owners, seeking content approval, monitoring readership (via Tableau) and creating a SharePoint site to view historic editions ✤ Increased end user awareness of specific application functionality through e-mailing regular “Tech Tips” to global users ✤ Designing and developing a training Share Point resource that centralised all learning materials ✤ Designing and developing an IBD Technology Share Point site promoting each of the core areas➤ Technical writer and trainer - I developed bespoke application reference guides for all the end-user efficiency tools as well as standardising training guide formats and best practices. Ran both local class room based and regional webinar training sessions for all application deployments, as well as introductory courses for new lateral and graduate hires.

This position required a hybrid skill set encompassing project management, application development, user experience, communication and training. Responsible for developing and maintaining the core technology infrastructure supporting the Investment Banking Division in Australasia.I managed a small dynamic team who administered the network, server, desktop and Helpdesk services supporting over two hundred users across four office locations and two countries.Main achievements:✤ Built and managed a happy and successful Banking Technology team. Instigated cross learning and career growth.✤ Project managed two technology integrations during my tenure at Goldman Sachs, Australia. In 2003 when Goldman Sachs Australia split from its global counterpart to merge with JBWere, I successfully managed the technology transition and was responsible for: ✤ Building new IBD technology environment to support three office locations across two countries ✤ Consolidating applications and data from two environments into one ✤ Integrating JBWere bankers predominantly through extensive training ✤ Establishing a Banking technology team that were sufficiently versatile to manage both the local infrastructure and application support requirementsIn 2011 Goldman Sachs purchased the controlling share of the joint venture and GSJBW became Goldman Sachs Australia once again. The technology integration was markedly different as all local services were to be migrated offshore to the Asia regional hub office. Through effective project management my team were able to successfully: ✤ Migrate all users from local to remote within agreed time frame ✤ Complete the migration with minimal business downtime ✤ Manage senior business expectations ✤ Transition users to the new technology environment by conducting thorough training and providing a short term twenty four hour support model
