Direct accountability for the feasible and economical supply of petroleum products to NSW & Qld markets. Management of approx. USD250M working capital across 9 seaborne bulk warehouse facilities, including multiple 3rd party locations, and accountability of $36M+ annual Marine Shipping activity.Manage the S&OP process with internal Retail & B2B sales channels, development and execution of the 0-4 month rolling supply chain cycle, managing term and spot sale/purchase contracts as well as infrastructure agreements with other oil companies and trading houses.

Coordination & optimisation of BP’s Import Supply Chain - average monthly working capital of approx. USD270M and marine logistic costs of USD5.5M.End to end supply chain for Aviation Gasoline to NZ for BP Aviation sales channel. Managing purchasing from Australian 3rd Party Refinery, as well as chartering of coastal vessels to deliver >11,200TO annually.Manage 3rd party suppliers to meet quantity & quality surveying requirements and Australian Customs regulations, as well as coordinating vetting and terminal clearances for BP & 3rd Party coastal vessels.Whilst in the role I identified & executed a Continuous Improvement Project reviewing BP's engagement with 3rd Party Surveyor requirements for product quality and quantity testing, local & international, delivering ~20% annual savings ($1.5M).

Main accountability was for the analysis and performance insight of the $120m+ annual freight costs for coastal shipping operations. Reporting of key KPI’s on Primary Freight, Demurrage & Demand Forecasting Accuracy as well as management of the annual “Bottom Up” planning process for Coastal Freight costs and provision of monthly shipping forecasts.Assigned Continuous Improvement Project Lead for the end to end reporting of freight costs during the transition to SAP reporting systems, providing assurance and transparency of information for end users.

As Senior Accountant I was responsible for:Managing & guiding accountants (4 junior staff).Preparing client communications; Board Audit & Risk Committee report, Management Letters & internal memorandums for key accounting policies.Performing detailed analysis over key balance sheet and income statement accounts using ratio and variance analysis techniques.Designing and applying controls testing.Key clients included Australia Post, Xstrata Nickel, Australian Unity, McCormicks Foods Australia and Insurance Commission of WA.
