I started from humble beginnings, unable to afford college taking care of my siblings, I graduated high school and went straight into the workforce. I was lucky and landed a job in a fabrication shop. I worked up from the very bottom the lowest of the low. With feverish yearning for Knowledge, paying my dues of course. I leaned to manage material, became trusted to maintain our imperative stock line to keep our business moving and never waiting on material. with increasing trust my foot was in the door for Learning processes that led me to become a journeyman of sorts in the profession. according to the owner, I became the fastest learned person in the field he had ever seen. I became a fabricator, not only in the sense of medial welding. But became a master operator of manual machines. Which included the most difficult task of becoming a manual machinist. I’m sure most know about CNC, or computer operated machining. But a manual machinist essentially is a reverse engineering, blueprint reading, often times tweaking engineers or architects visions of what they thought would be the best solution. Nine times out of 10 they would agree to my input And later thank me. In the span of a 20 year company life. I had became the most proficient and fastest outputting employee they had ever had. I started that job at the age of 19 and I had achieved this by the age of 22. I say there’s not to brag, although sometimes I did have bragging rights over mist machinists in a friendly bantering way, I would keep my thoughts and achievements to my self. I only mentioned this to give an overall outlook on how seriously and fully dedicated I am to being the best at whatever my field may be. And moreover it doesn’t matter at what level I start at. I will put forth the same amount of effort and self competitive nature into my work striving to be better than I was yesterday.
