Engineering Group Manager - Vehicle Optimization, Architecture Strategy
Current-Implement state-of-art vehicle optimization methodologies to establish future vehicle architure startegies to meet aggressive future CO2, FE standards through light weighting, advanced materials and next generation architecture cross synergy.-Lead GM vehicle optimization group to establish and implement math based optimization processes to result in first time capable design, mass and cost reduction, minimized reliance on physical tests -Formulate strategic vision of innovations and develop tactical plan of continuous improvement roadmaps for GM vehicle topology and multidisciplinary optimization methodology --Identify and document business and technical optimization needs and quality expectations of optimizing the GM vehicle development process-Interpret and translate GM vehicle program execution challenges into technical requirements for new and/or improved optimization tools and processes -Create concept vehicle design strategies to maximize vehicle architecture bandwidth, reduce vehicle mass while improve structural and safety efficiencies -Lead and provide the key technical directions for Enterprise-wide CAE Method projects with critical business impact for vehicle electrification using the GM Advanced Technology Work (ATW) gate process--Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to internal GM customers using reports, design guides, and letters - Manages overall engineering execution with other departments, functions, suppliers, and customers-Translates business objectives to actionable deliverables for work group
