• To act as the Directed Party for all EU and UK Aviation Security legislation at Southampton Airport to ensure the business is fully compliant and up to date with current and future regulatory requirements.• To provide the very best customer experience through regular analysis of customer feedback.• To ensure that operations within the terminal are conducted in a safe manner and to provide a seamless service to our customers even during periods of disruption.• To act as the Airport Senior Manager on behalf of the Managing Director and to be available to lead the entire operation in times of crisis or major disruption.• To ensure that all engineering and contractor activities are carried out in a safe and cost effective manner and that assets across the campus are maintained according to relevant legislation.• To ensure that contracted services provide the best and most cost effective delivery to the business including Soft Services, PRM, Left Luggage and Lost Property.

• Creation and implementation of a new security strategy that delivers the Southampton Airport Vision to become Europe's leading regional airport against the target areas of: Safe, Secure & Sustainable, Great Passenger Experiences, Profitable Growth and Team Southampton.• Lead, motivate and develop the Security team to ensure all staff are focussed on delivering excellent customer service whilst maintaining security standards.• To work with key groups such as the Risk Assessment Group (RAG) in order to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and to identify, mitigate and share key risks.• To analyse, monitor and predict trends using market research, feedback and security performance.• Implement action plans to make any necessary improvements and deliver innovative solutions.• To work with and interpret any directions from the DfT on aviation security and to understand, influence and deliver any relevant processes and or procedures. Author of Airport Security Programme.• To manage the department budget ensuring financial resources are used in the most cost effective way and value for money is attained. Overall responsibility for 85 employees and budget of c £2.5m• To take overall accountability for departmental Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) performance and implement actions and recommendations.• Accountable for ensuring the requirements are fulfilled for Business Continuity Management and Asset Stewardship and effective plans are in place.
