The role; • Clinically responsible for all patients under my care and that of my crew mate, ensuring the efficient operation of our frontline support. • Responding immediately to emergency calls and hospital transfer requests. • Working effectively within scope of practice, ensuring patients receive the highest quality standard of care. • Using appropriate knowledge and skills in order to make professional judgements, conducting diagnostic procedures and treatments as required, safely and to the appropriate level of training and competency. • Responsible and accountable for clinical decisions made during the course of duty. • Working within the appropriate sections of the JRCALC guidelines, CIPHER Medical policies and procedures, protocols and scope of practice at all times. • Ensure the prompt, legible and accurate completion of all patient records and incident forms. • Completing vehicle daily inspections, ensure that the ambulance consumables are stocked before every shift and checking all equipment is in operational readiness. • Appropriate use of airwaves radios and equipment (terrafix) • Carrying out blue light response driving. • At all times exhibit standards of personal and professional conduct and performance.
