I am a post-doctoral researcher with a background in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacy, and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences. During my PhD I gained experience with AMR pathogens while synthesising and characterising new antimicrobials. For my current project I am working on development of alternatives to antibiotics for farming animals. I am collaborating with veterinarians and animal nutrition scientists on the design and approval of in vivo trials. In this context I am learning to navigate the regulatory landscape, including submission of ethical approvals to competent national authorities and EFSA study notifications, as well as writing of scientific dossier.
