c.a.s.e., short for “Community Awareness and Solutions for Empowerment,” is a cooperative roots-based consultancy that was created in 2012.The mission of c.a.s.e. is to provide local, regional, and national consulting services and resources to rural and urban communities directly impacted by rapid social and environmental change or conflict. Drawing on our expertise in community-based ethnographic practice, environmental policy and regulatory research, Geographic Information Systems, and asset-based community dialogue and deliberation techniques we are committed to providing communities with the awareness and skill to recognize their own capacities for resiliency and adaptation. Through this process, communities find their own solutions to some of the most pressing problems of the 21st Century.At the heart of our work at c.a.s.e. are the long-term partnerships we build with community-based groups, practitioners, artists, academic scientists, and public service agencies.
