Simona Robba graduated as a landscape architect at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) in 2012 and has been working since then as a stormwater advisor and water designer. With over ten years of experience in stormwater and flood management in urban contexts, she specializes in blue-green infrastructure and nature-based stormwater management solutions, such as rain gardens, green roofs, infiltration areas, detention basins, green channels/ditches, multifunctional areas, etc., but also re-opening and design of watercourses. She has designed a large number of blue-green stormwater facilities for new projects in Oslo (especially Ensjø district), Lørenskog and Asker municipality, and has collaborated on blue-green solutions in Iceland and Poland.Simona works now At Structor Vann as a stormwater advisor, developing concepts, conducting detention calculations, designing local stormwater solutions, and finalizing documentation. Her wide range of expertise spans from sketch to construction projects, feasibility studies, regulatory plan, applications to the municipality, Environmental Impact Assessments (Konsekvensutredning - KU), Concept Selection Studies (Konseptvalgutredning - KVU), Plan Programs (Planprogram - PP), and Guidelines for cables and pipelines (Veiledende plan for kabler og ledninger - VPKL), as well as Guidelines for Public Space Plans (Veiledende plan for offentlig rom - VPOR).Simona also has significant experience with several stream opening projects in Oslo, like Mærradalsbekken and Hovinbekken. She has carried out several major feasibility studies where the goal has been reopening and rehabilitating watercourses as part of the establishment of blue-green zones, flood protection and water runoff management. An example is Klosterenga park with the establishment of local floodwater measures and re-opening of Hovinbekken through the park area. Simona also performs BREEAM certification for water management and flood risk.She also has extensive knowledge of aquatic environments and has developed plans and analyses for water environments and pollution in accordance with the Water Management Regulations.
