CurrentCo-CEO and Co-Founder of Energise:Energise is a purpose driven business on a mission to support business in being a force for good!Since founding in 2008, Energise has worked with over 800 organisations delivering a wide range of energy/carbon/net zero/sustainability programmes with a now c.40 strong team. I have a personal passion for responsible business, conservation, and operational efficiency, and have been involved in a broad range of services that deliver savings, compliance and advice in an easy-to-understand format. With experience in pretty much every sector, I've been involved in over £60 million of measured energy/resource savings, overseen programmes covering over 7.5% of the UK’s total carbon footprint and had oversight of over 800 compliance/certification programmes (with a 100% compliance rate, through c. 80 audits by regulatory bodies/certification bodies). I have also been the lead author on multiple sector Net Zero pathways, and been project lead for pan-European research projects. With a background in both sustainability and usability, I focus on how to make the sustainability challenges we face easy to use whilst technically precise at the same time (a delicate balance). All of this is driven by a personal passion for the environment and the natural world, driven by a strong connection to nature in my childhood (the Lake District is a particularly special place for me).We provide ‘joined-up thinking’ on sustainability, helping our clients connect the dots, and we are passionate about meeting our clients’ needs and delivering for our stakeholders, all while communicating openly and delivering excellence. The world of sustainability/energy/ESG is not always easy to navigate, and many companies can benefit from a guiding hand to smooth the journey.
