The majority of my work, in both writing and editing, focuses on food: Culinary heritage, identity, agriculture, regional ingredients and dishes, and where all of this intersects. That’s what motivates me. I currently work as the non-fiction acquisitions editor at Goose Lane Editions, and as a freelance book and manuscript editor, in both substantive and developmental edits. I have also worked as an instructor at University of King’s College School of Journalism. I'm the author of "Pantry and Palate: Remembering and Rediscovering Acadian Food." The book examines Acadian food and foodways through the lens of family, culinary history, and recipes. The book was shortlisted for the Taste Canada Awards, Canada’s food writing/cookbook awards. I've written and produced work for numerous publications and platforms, including The Globe and Mail, Vice/Munchies, The Southern Foodways Alliance, CBC Radio and Radio-Canada. I've also produced a few seasons of a summer radio series for CBC Radio in the Maritimes called "Assis Toi.”
