Simon joined Hays in 2006 within the Canberra office Construction and Property division working over a period of eight years leading that division in a combined role of staff management, client development and service delivery to both candidates and clients. Simon quickly formed very strong relationships with both candidates and clients through his consultative approach and industry expertise ensuring he was able to operate at a very high standard across both the private and public sector within the ACT.In 2014 Simon moved with Hays to our Canadian business in Calgary Alberta and took on the role of Senior Manager initially overseeing the Calgary Construction and Property team prior to spending 18 months successfully launching a new Construction and Property division for Hays into Chicago USA. He then took on a role of Senior Manager for Central Canada where he was responsible for all aspects of the day to day operations of the Calgary Construction and Property team along with Winnipeg and Edmonton offices. In 2019 Simon was promoted to Divisional Director for Central Canada.Simon returned to the Canberra business in February 2020 and is now Business Director, Commerce and Industry for the Canberra office. Simon’s focus and primary role is to lead and oversee all Commerce and Industry key accounts, client relationships and service delivery ensuring that all clients and candidates within this sector are receiving the highest level of service possible. Simon has made many local relationships through his career with Hays spanning 15 years and is highly connected in the local market.
