Commercial / contracts lead for the Array Cable package of the 714MW East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm being developed in the British North Sea.With FID due in 2016, the current focus is on drafting, negotiating and making recommendations for the award of all key contracts required for the supply and installation of 140km of subsea array cabling; including the development of a cross-package suite of contract documents / schedules.Post-FID, the focus will shift towards execution and managing the ongoing commercial activity associated with delivering a construction contract; such as valuations, variations and claim/risk/programme management etc.

Appointed to provide commercial expertise into construction contracts for Vattenfall's offshore wind portfolio; primarily focusing on the closing out of construction on the 288MW DanTysk Offshore Wind Farm in the German North Sea.A key concern is a FIDIC based, EPCI package for the supply and installation of an, industry first, 50 pax Offshore Accomodation and Wind Farm Maintenance Platform (OAP); where I lead commercial activities associated with the design, fabrication, fit-out, heavy-lift installation & commissioning works for this complex jacket & topside structure.

Appointed to finalise the commercial / legal aspects of a proposal for the Supply & Installation (TSA) and Operation & Maintenance (SMA) of Alstom’s recently verified tidal turbine technology into a pilot array in French waters.Responsibilities:- Review / negotiation of the Heads of Terms with the Client.- Refining tender pricing through qualifying cost assumptions and renegotiating subcontracts to align with the transition from prototype to commercial deployment.- Analysing value for money from existing marine / vessel contracts and identifying savings through improved contract terms.Alstom's bid has since been accepted by the French Government; with a memorandum of understanding signed to progress through to financial close in late 2015 and begin construction in 2017.http://renews.biz/80178/dcns-edf-win-french-tidal-pilot/

Pre- and post-contract management of construction projects associated with Centrica's Offshore Wind Farm assets.Subsea Cables:- Contracts Manager of the four Export & Array Packages (Supply & Installation) for the 540MW Race Bank Wind Farm; including strategy/business case development and tendering/negotiation prior to FID in 2014.- Pre- and post-contract management of ancillary contracts associated with the supply/installation of subsea cables; including testing, on/offshore survey campaigns, cable burial tool development and consenting/consultancy contracts. O&M:- Management of maintenance and post-construction spend for a number of operational assets.Safety:- Active member within the Generation Safe scheme, with a remit for assessing and implementing improvements to safety reporting within the Power business unit.

Consultancy position working with major UK Contractors developing Bills of Quantities and managing cost planning / management activity associated with civil, marine, defence and commercial developments.Specific focus on managing claims / variations; including formal dispute resolution where required.

We also supply products on a Build To Order basis for all other suspension manufacturers that advertise their shocks as 'Made in Australia'Responsibilities included:- Advising clients on application of our products.- Resolving technical issues relating to engineering and application.- Liaising with Product Managers and Production Managers to ensure product lines are readily available and that product listings are accurate.- Procurement from our European sites.- Overseeing logistics for sales.- Managing the testing/reporting process for batches/designs which consumers reported as faulty.

I joined the Defence New Business team at Elan to improve the Retail arm of the department which was failing to capitalise on capabilities developed through their position within the Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) market; where we managed all permanent and contract recruitment for companies such as Qinetiq, EDS, GE and General Dynamics. Alongside another established consultant, we dramatically improved the performance of the department within a very short timeframe, increasing turnover five fold inside six months.
