Based in Leeds, UK, I am a director and deviser of socially motivated theatre. I am on LinkedIn because I am seeking work on productions as a director where the project is being driven / produced by an artist, individual or organisation other than myself. I see my work as exploring conversations about the society that people want to live in. I value accessible, entertaining and provoking theatre and trend towards progressive and devised theatre conventions. I am a bit of a theatrical magpie, flitting between physical, storytelling, verbatim, theatrical live art, music, naturalism, Brecht and Boal depending on what seems most appropriate. I am loyal to good dramaturgy and exploring meaningful social ideas. I feel strongly that audiences should feel motivated by having a good time whilst exploring ideas and not feel battered by their experience.I would like to hear from producers, artists or venues who need a director to lead a devising process or direct a performance where material or script has already been created.
