As an integral part of Questel’s Language Services Team, I am responsible for producing high-quality, accurate translations of technical documents, and for revising these documents when necessary.Tasks include:• Performing translation and/or MT post-editing of IP-related documents provided by clients in the language pair of German and English• Reading, revising, and evaluating translated documents to detect errors in meaning, accuracy, usage, terminology, spelling, grammar, style, tone and syntax• Editing translated documents to ensure a true and accurate representation of source document content, adherence to style guides, and compliance with client-specific and country-specific publication specifications• Conducting quality control of translations in one or more qualified language pairs (language pairs include English and/or one non-English language)• Evaluating in-country translator performance and providing support and guidance to translation vendors• Managing translation memory and term bases using Questel’s internal system• When required, providing some training to new members of staff• Working on special projects and other duties as assigned by management
