I continued working primarily on freelance design for print jobs at this time. I taught myself the scripting language ActionScript 3 leading to repeat Flash work upon the set up of Simon Burdett Creative. I also began to acquire background HTML and CSS web knowledge with a view to complementing my considerable print experience.

For more than nine years I was an integral part of a close-knit team, primarily designing marketing communications literature, print advertising, exhibition graphics and promotional concept work. This often included considerable Photoshop image compositing and treatment. I developed effective client relationship skills and projects were often personally managed from initial ideas to finished artwork to print procurement and production.
