I would consider myself an engaging, creative and driven individual that loves a challenge and never wants to stand still.Because of this, following a 9 year stay in Hospitality, I came to the decision in 2015 that I needed to persue a career that I was truly passionate about. After studying Media & Music Journalism at University, I felt it was time to return to the profession I had worked hard towards gaining a degree in and begin writing once more. The decision paid off as it led to writing for GIGsoup Music, one of the UK’s fastest growing Online Publications as well as taking charge of the site’s Social Media channels.This experience led me to become fully accustomed in using Wordpress/CMS, writing great SEO friendly content and eventually brought me into Web Design. I now run a Web Design and Digital Marketing company which works with Local Businesses in the North West, providing businesses that had long-avoided the online world with the tools they need to grow in an increasingly internet-focused landscape. I have designed, built and maintained websites for some big local businesses that have only served to increase their prominence and online presence. Combining modern, mobile optimised designs that catch the eye with well-written, search engine friendly content has seen huge increases in visitors to the companies' websites. As a direct result of my work, these companies have seen a tangible increase in trade/orders. It's something that I am immensely proud of.In addition to my day job, I’m always on the lookout for writing opportunities that give me a creative outlet. I write music features and reviews for the GIGsoup Music, one of the fastest growing independent music sites in the UK. I have also been building a football website that will allow fans to write about their team - I'm hoping to build up a network of talented football bloggers in one place when the site launches in early 2018.
