I worked with NightOwl Discovery’s US team to establish and manage their EU Operations Centre in Dublin. This initially involved establishing many aspects of the business including securing and fitting out office and review centre premises, hiring staff, implementing staff pension and insurance risks schemes, establishing documented processes and procedures, working with the US marketing team to formulate go-to-market strategy and collateral. Once established I managed the EU Operations Centre delivering forensic technology services to clients including; managed discovery, managed review, incident management and forensic investigations, proactive information management, and strategic forensic technology consulting.

I joined EY in November 2005 as a Senior Consultant within their IT Risk & Assurance practice. As a Senior Consultant and then Manager (October 2007), I developed the forensic technology capability and team within EY to provide IT Forensic and eDiscovery services to clients, in addition to supporting numerous IT Security projects. As a Senior Manager (October 2011) and Director (August 2014), I established and developed a dedicated forensic technology team within EY. This team focused on providing eDiscovery, Incident Response & IT Forensics, and Cybercrime Investigations services to clients.

I initially joined JPMC as a desktop support engineer, and then went on to specialise on trade floor support. I worked on a number of international projects in Asia and managed a team rolling out a new VPN system to users across the region. I then worked with the Audit and Compliance departments to assist in implementing the IT security policy for all areas of the organisation. During my time there, I had extensive interaction with the different lines of business, in addition to working on a number of internal incident responses.

I spent three summers during my BSc in San Francisco and worked for Alliance Dresdner each time. I started as a desktop support engineer, then proceeded to work on both the server and network teams, before spending my last three months managing part of the Windows 2000 deployment project. This included database software development, in order to comply with new SEC standards, in addition to implementing technical controls as part of an IT security policy implementation.

Prior to completing my BSc, I worked part-time as a network administrator for Netforce Computer Systems in Dublin from 1995. Netforce is an IT services supplier to small and medium businesses in Ireland. I provided IT systems design, implementation and support services to numerous clients. I also worked part-time as the IT manager for IMS Data Systems in Dublin from 1997. This involved managing all aspects of the IT systems for this small company of 30 employees. This included networking, file servers, remote access, backup and recovery strategies, in addition to securing the systems. I gained considerable experience in designing, implementing and supporting Windows, Unix and networking systems during this time.
