The process of technology introduction, the explanation of function, benefits and integration, is common to all environments and is primarily about changing customer vision, breaking out of the old mould and encompassing the new.I was present at the birth of WAP with Phone.com which became Openwave, and have provided significant contribution to shape some of the products and services it offered, e.g. WAP Gateway, OTA Provisioning, Java Vending Machine, Web Page Optimization, and a WAP Connectivity Measurement and Optimisation methodology program that reached across the entire operator connectivity chain to identify and fix weak and broken links, and so greatly improve the user experience, and hence the business. I have a great deal of experience at putting a European focus on typically US products and services, and communicating these to European network operator customers, and also strategically redefining the structure of deliverable product to adapt to the changing mobile data services and application environment.Specialities: Creating solution concepts for new technologies and services/applications, not just in mobile data infrastructure, but also application. Examples: an end-to-end air passenger luggage tracking and recovery solution not requiring tag purchase, and with $125m annual revenue potential; a new methodology for cloud-based, device ubiquitous personal/private data organisation and sharing, utilising individually defined simple or complex data structures for grouping and linking of data items.Developing excellent customer relationships to drive through solution concepts and ideas that enable the customer business to grow and mature.
