Operated a wide range of programming at the Seattle Asian Art Museum, including the highly acclaimed monthly lecture series "Saturday University," artist talks, Open House Events, and public programs. Initiated and sustained new and current community partnerships, working with other educators, cultural producers, and SAM's DEI department to lead collaborative and authentic engagement. Communicated with internal and external stakeholders, including UW's Jackson School of International Studies, a faculty advisory committee, the Volunteer Park Trust, and others. Designed new programming that enhances the incredible exhibitions at the Seattle Asian Art Museum, from permanent collections to rotating displays, and special exhibitions. Coordinated logistics for community receptions, lecture series, performances, and external meetings, working with marketing, ticketing, venues, catering, security, and others to make SAAM programming more activated, accessible, and impactful. Contributed to the greater mission and efforts of SAM's education and public engagement department, supporting the Seattle Art Museum Downtown and Olympic Sculpture Park, as well as School & Educators and Teen & Family programs.During my tenure, I led 20 Public Programs at the Seattle Asian Art Museum, reaching nearly 4,000 audience members with over 25 community partnerships.Was an active member of SAM's Education & Community Engagement Committee, taking detailed notes and facilitating discussions with committee members and SAM staff.

Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap, Vietnam

Designed unique lesson plans and taught 11 English classes a week to Vietnamese students at a gifted high school, using theatre and audio pedagogy to enhance the English learning experiences in a traditional classroom setting. Coached a select group of students competing in the school's National English Contest, focusing on public speaking and critical thinking. Created cross-cultural learning opportunities and represented the U.S. as a cultural ambassador, preparing students for English-speaking contests, producing storytelling workshops for students and teachers around the Đồng Tháp province, and learning the Vietnamese language and culture.

San Francisco Bay Area

Led production processes, event purchases, signage, payments, health & safety, venue logistics, run-of-show, contractor schedules, and other operations for the Center for Asian American Media’s film festival, “CAAMFest,” in its 40th year. Acted as the main point person for 15 in-person film screenings, coordinating schedules, production needs, and day-of operations with venue management, projectionist, 6 house managers, and seasonal staff for nearly 20 total events. Executed festival deliverables with Operations, Finance, Development, and Volunteer departments, and managed one full-time operations assistant. Created a 15 page wrap report which documented pre-festival, during-festival, and post-festival details and operations, and made thorough suggestions to improve future CAAMFests.

Selected as one of 25 students for Producing 101 through Theatre Producers of Color, equipping producers of color in theatre and the performing arts with the fundamentals of commercial producing. Managed operations, signage, security, volunteer staffing, production orders, and staffing plans for two (2) venues leading up to the in-person 2022 Sundance Film Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah. Contributed to the selection of Sundance LGBTIQA+ shorts for the 2022 festivals.Seamlessly pivoted to supporting the digital Sundance Film Festival as Digital Operations Support Lead, updating 7 Slack channels for artist liaisons, programmers, and team leads, and cross-referenced screening info and scheduling spreadsheets.

Produced 1-3 virtual events a month on a variety of topics, including hate crimes toward the greater AAPI community, local journalism, juvenile justice, environmental racism, and education inequity. Researched and pre-screened potential panelists, drafted event copy, created and scheduled mass emails, oversaw production, and developed event concepts from start to finish. Identified and designed creative event frameworks to spur deeper collaborations and engagement with local communities and journalism organizations, including listening sessions, workshops and multimedia projects. Brainstormed long-term strategies and community partnerships all across the Midwest, South, and Southwest regions through engagement projects and sponsorship opportunities.

Managed over 100 volunteers in (virtual) voter engagement efforts in Ohio congressional and Supreme Court races that made over 8,400 phone calls and 60,000 texts in three (3) months. Led monthly meetings, and coordinated operations with Common Power leadership. Organized two (2) Action Days, booking professors for intimate lectures and scheduled programming. Recruited Common Power’s volunteer list for GOTV and Election Day needs and phone banking shifts.Contributed to voter engagement and advocacy efforts for the 2021 Georgia Senate Runoff races.

Oversaw creative and logistical production of over 100+ annual projects for the Community Engagement and Events department. Supported department on over 30+ events annually, assisting with coordination of talent, travel, catering, creative production, and other logistics. Produced live podcast tapings annually as a part of WBEZ's Podcast Passport Series, executing production from inception to finish. Produced small but high impact community engagement projects and events, collaborating with HBO, The Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, USA Today, Chicago Public Libraries, and others. The Community Leadership Corps is designed to empower and train young people invested in their communities and eager to make a difference. Members are placed on teams to design and implement community projects.Designed and produced an LGBTQIA+ youth summit. The objective: to empower LGBTQIA+ youth in the Chicagoland community and provide exposure to an abundance of resources catered to their professional, personal, and emotional development. Programming included: LGBTQIA+ leadership and authenticity, storytelling, improv, body/health positivity, mindfulness, sex education, and a personalized assessment of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Curated 3 StorySLAM events in Chicago every month and quarterly GrandSLAM events. Collaborated with the venue, organized the store, greeted and introduced audience members to the storytelling procedure and signup process, and chose StorySlam judging teams.

Racy Sketchy Sexy was a sketch comedy group that creates original work focusing on voices of color, social justice, and empowering minorities. Oversaw creative and production development, including workshops, writing, rehearsals, and performances. Racy Sketchy Sexy performed 2 times a year and includes 12+ art activists from UW and the Seattle Community. Led outreach to academic departments, faculty, and staff to increase conversations around UW.

Provided prospective and current students with general advising, assisting with registration processes, degree planning, and financial aid information. Administered communication between SPSCC’s One Stop, Outreach, and Advising offices, logging student visits and checking in students to advising and financial aid appointments on an internal software system.

Represented the inaugural class of Emerging Arts Leaders at the Seattle Art Museum. Balanced internship responsibilities with both the Education and Public Programs and Curatorial departments. Researched University Partnerships with museums across the country, created surveys for SAM's Community Pass program, designed and implemented social justice resources in SAM's Think Tank with its Yves Saint Laurent Exhibit, and created and performed an interdisciplinary "My Favorite Things Tour" for SAM staff and the public.

Welcomed guests, answered phones, sorted mail, and responded to emails regarding Registered Student Organizations Assisted in the coordination of the RSO fair on campus (200+ RSOs) and directed students and RSO officers with the best resources to support their efforts to make their RSO endeavors a success.

School Of Drama

Acted as a student liaison and advocated for the needs of roughly 65 undergraduate students, working with the faculty and staff of the School of Drama to address holes in the curriculum and undergraduate department. Performed departmental outreach at lectures and classes to highlight upcoming opportunities and programs. Organized the end of the year Drama barbecue, as well as Town Hall meetings and a 48-hour theatre festival quarterly.

The Civil Rights Pilgrimages through the University of Washington was an intergenerational and interracial community of about 54 people, students, faculty, and community adults, who went to the Deep South and learn about our nation's history, politics, and the stories of the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. Colleges included the University of Washington, Bellevue College, and Utah State University.Facilitated communication and discussions at group meetings for college students and community adults. Mentored student participants in preparation and during the pilgrimages. Planned weekly meetings with faculty and pilgrimage staff with an emphasis to deepen engagement with social issues, critical thinking, and to strengthen community and relationship building within the pilgrimage experience. Incorporated improvisation and social justice theatre exercises that focused on equity and community building.

Assisted in coordinating KCTS 9 station and community events, ranging from 20 people to 60+ people. Wrote and produced creative content 2 times per month about Black History Month, Women Who Inspire, the Civil Rights Movement, and the Pacific Northwest.
