• The QAS Brisbane Operations Centre (OpCen) is a multi-functional Operations Centre that houses several critical work units such as the OpCen, Retrieval Services Queensland, Clinical HUB and Mental Health Liaison Clinicians Service.• The Brisbane OpCen also services as the main business continuity site for all other QAS Operations Centres in Queensland. The OpCen is staffed by over 170 personnel and oversees the mentoring of more than 40 students each year.• The Senior Operations Centre Supervisor (SOCS) is a key operational role within the Brisbane OpCen, reporting to the Director. The role is responsible for the supervision and day to day management of all functions and work units located within the centre to ensure the provision of efficient frontline operational service delivery. • The role provides support to the Director in implementing reforms and service improvement initiatives and contributes to the overall future direction of QAS service delivery. The SOCS will ensure that high quality, timely and appropriate pre-hospital care and transport services are provided to the Queensland community and will actively contribute to the achievement of QAS business objectives and key performance indicators determined by the Commissioner.

The role requires attention to detail in a technical environment and the ability to multitask under pressure. These skills are vital to maintaining the welfare of the community and as such, the EMD role is a highly valued profession.
