Born in 1980, he earned a 5-years degree in Materials Science from the University of Padua in 2005 (supervised by Professor Tondello, co-supervised by Dr. Gerbasi). Since 2006, he has been working at the ICMATE with various fellowships and as an associate member.In 2007, he obtained a Master degree in Surface Treatments for Industry from the University of Padua, focusing on decorative coatings for leather. In 2010, he completed his Ph.D. in Molecular Science (Chemical Sciences) at the University of Padua, with a thesis on the synthesis and characterization of C/TiO2 composites for nanostructured photoactive materials (supervised by Prof. Tondello).His research at ICMATE has primarily focused on thin film deposition techniques (PVD magnetron Sputtering and MOCVD), SEM, and XRD. After earning his Ph.D. at University of Padua, he became a permanent research scientist at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) in 2010. His work has involved the synthesis and characterization of ceramic and alloy bulk materials and thin films (for applications in energy, photocatalysis, thermoelectricity), Life Cycle Assessment of lab-scale processes, and Critical Raw Materials Assessment.Additionally, he has been responsible for one of ICMATE Field Emission SEM instruments and he is co-responsible for the institute's special waste and WEEE management activities.His professional activity is based out of Padua but he lives in Verona.
