    My studies and research activities include: data acquisition, feature extraction, digital filtering, signal analysis in time and frequency domains, for both stationary and non-stationary signals. I actively contributed in several courses and research projects, using techniques such as the Discrete Wavelet Transform in time-frequency analysis. I’m interested in signal processing techniques for the optimization of classification algorithms in real-time applications for resource-constrain low power embedded systems .I have a strong experience with microcontrollers based on the 32 bit ARM Cortex architecture (STM32F4, KINETIS and STELLARIS) and with 16 bit microcontrollers such as the Freescale 56F8000 or the ST7I have broad experience also in the PCB design of mixed signal boards and I’m skilled in analog signal conditioning for different sensors: photodiodes, pressure, temperature, pH-meters, Hall-effect sensors, encoders and surface bio-potentials (EMG, ECG).     I worked on the Systems-Based Neurotechnology for Emerging Therapies (SUBNETS). The final goal of this project is the design of an implantable closed loop neuromodulation system for treating neuropsychological disease, like epilepsy, depression and post-traumatic stress disorders. During my internship I designed the digital control module of the system and I worked on ultra low power feature extraction techniques for seizure detection algorithms.

I designed the whole system, which is composed of control electronics for actuation, the sensing circuitry, and the communication interfaces.2006-2008 System for control of pressure and flow of saline solution during arthroscopic surgery.I studied the fluidodinamical model of an intracorporeal cavity, and I found an algorithm to measure the internal pressure of the cavity indirectly, with external measurement.
