I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Public Administration concentrated in Public Policy and Leadership from Indian River State College (IRSC) based in Fort Pierce, Florida. I hold eight years of library experience from working at IRSC’s Main Campus Library in Fort Pierce during the last few years of my studies; completing a three-month-internship with the Blake Library in Stuart, Florida after finishing my bachelor’s degree; and working at Renaissance Charter School of St. Lucie in Port St. Lucie, Florida as the school’s library aide from October 2021-October 2023.I chose this career path because I have loved visiting the library and reading various books by various authors since I was young. My favorite genres are Fantasy, Romance, and Graphic Novels. I someday plan to further my education through Florida State University's online Master of Science in Information (MSI) Program, based in Tallahassee, to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a librarian in a public library. When I am not working, I like to spend time with friends and family both in and out of state, play with my dogs, volunteer for the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, watch movies (Disney, Hallmark, Marvel/DC, and Anime), and attend Catholic Mass.Philosophy of EducationI believe that education is important and available for all individuals. Everybody has different strengths and interests that they can apply to every area in their lives, and they should have the appropriate mentors (parents, teachers, friends, colleagues, etc.) help them achieve their lifelong dreams.
