As part of the Molecular Diagnostics R&D group, my mission is to ensure the design and development of molecular in vitro diagnostics (IVD) assays. In particular, lead the development of new product and or technological improvement of existing product, from pre-feasibility to validation in compliance with the Design requirements, Product Development Plans and Quality standards. Main reposnsilities:• Assay design, testing and data analysis • Reporting of experiments in laboratory notebook and other proper documentation for Design Control• Preparation of technical reports and presentations• Define and test new raw material, product innovations and processes• Perform activities in compliance with Quality Standards and SOP requirements

Within an international and interdisciplinary team I investigated the role of the cholesterol transporter ATP binding cassete A1 (ABCA1) on HCV infection. Through different strategies we demonstrated that pharmacological stimulation of ABCA1 inhibits HCV entry, virus-host cell fusion. Thus, provided evidence that ABCA1 might represent a potential novel target for HCV therapy.
