Simone Bonanni Studio is a multidisciplinary design studio established in 2015 in Milan by designer Simone Bonanni.SBS focuses both on product design and Limited Editions, while investigating the world of creativity and always looking for new trends and fresh perspectives to inject in its everyday work.Simone Bonanni believes aesthetics should be a consequence of a deep understanding of the essence, context, function and meaning of a certain typology of objects and it should not only relate to a personal taste. All these elements together always find new ways of coexist and each project is brought to life in different dedicated manners, constantly aiming to create a relationship between the artwork and its user that is more affective than corporeal.Simone Bonanni indeed, has a particular attention to the great communicative power of objects and considers them as “activators of emotions”. The perception that one has of the artwork is considered to be the real reality and it became over time the main focus of the studio, being perception easier and more relevant to play with and reality just a mare illusion.SBS is now working on projects for selected international brands such as Alessi, Moooi, MDF Italia, FIAM , Falper, Mingardo and many others while also teaching Product Design at IED Istituto Europeo di Design and IED Master in Milan. His design work has been featured in reputed publications including the Zeit Magazine of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, Dezeen, Abitare, DOMUS, Elle Decoration, Elle Décor, Interni and many others.BIO:Simone Bonanni was born in Pordenone (Italy), August 1989. He graduated from IED Istituto Europeo di Design (Milan) in 2011 with a project awarded with Honourable Mention at the 23rd ADI Compasso D’oro Award (Targa Giovani). In 2012, he left Milan and joined the Marcel Wanders team (Amsterdam, NL) where he worked as product designer and project leader for 3 years. Back from The Netherlands in 2015, he founded Simone Bonanni Studio.
