I'm in charge of the development of the HCI of our printing machines running on Siemens PLCs. I'm the software architect and developer of the C# .NET user controls that interface with the PLC to run and manage the machine, as well as the whole HCI panel. Moreover, I'm designing and developing new - and maintaining a number of legacy - .NET applications for production needs, as well as taking charge of system administration and management tasks related to the machines' life cycle.

I worked as a .NET developer on a number of web projects mainly related to Autostrade per l'Italia. I contributed to the development of an automated web testing system for a Document Management application written in Microsoft C#, using Selenium WebDriver with Google Chrome. I also worked on a Java REST API system about an archeological information management system, with a related Android app, to which I also contributed.

I was assigned to the Infogroup team, the IT "branch" of Intesa SanPaolo.During the first months I worked on a plain Java2 web application of Poste Italiane (Italian postal service company) for Life Insurance policy issuing. I implemented a new feature for checking the eligibility of a potential customer to issue a policy.Afterwards, I was moved on an homologous project for Intesa SanPaolo Life, where I'm currently working on transcoding and processing data between legacy systems and front-end web application.Finally, I came back to work for Poste Italiane on the Damage insurance policy issuing: I refactored the code in order to modularizing the step execution of the policy issuing, improving and simplifying the step management.

I was involved in the project which will allow Regione Toscana (Tuscany region local administration) Healthcare support System to interface with Sogei (a Ministry of Finance company) for exchanging users' medical expenses data using a Web Services architecture.Afterwards, again on behalf for Regione Toscana, I contributed to the "Servizio Civile" (Community Service) web application, providing ordinary and extraordinary evolutionary and corrective maintenance and, if necessary, writing technical analysis.

I work as a Web-apps developer on Java EE platform, mainly for Public Administration.I autonomously re-engineered an European Social Fund management application for Tuscany Region when it needed to migrate from Informix to DB2 and I also implemented some new features.Besides plain Java and its own web development technologies (JSP, JDBC), I also developed applications with specific frameworks, including Spring, Hibernate, Seam and IceFaces, using Apache Tomcat web server and JBoss application server.I'm currently involved in development, evolution and maintenance of Spring-based web applications whose back-end DBMS is PostgreSQL, and I'm taking care of the maintenance for Spring 2 applications.I use jQuery library on a daily basis.

I was a member of the development team for Home Banking and Front Office for ING Direct Italy.The project is composed by 2 modules: a Front-end module and a Back-end module; the former is written in .NET (ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#), the latter is written in Java EE. Communication between the 2 modules occurs through web-services.I worked on maintenance and evolution, mainly for the .NET module, but i also had the need to work on the Java Back-end module.I strongly developed my code analysis, debugging and refactoring abilities, and I've had the chance to deeply understand the architecture of large and complex applications.

I worked on the refactoring for a management application for the company itself.The application is written in Java and has a MySql-powered back-end database. User interface makes large use of Javascript and jQuery.I brought structural improvements to give the (already almost-completed) application a larger modularity, with the pourpose of making its architecture lighter and simplify new features' development.

I worked on both the software development side and system administration side.I designed and wrote Windows Form applications, function libraries and Windows services using VB.NET and, where required, I integrated them with Industrial Automation Software (e.g. Copa Data Zenon, Invensys Wonderware). I also worked on J2EE management applications evolution and maintenance.I, too, was the System Administrator for the company network, based on Windows Server 2008 and Active Directory, and for the company-hosted web/mail servers (the former was Apache Tomcat, the latter was MS Exchange). When needed, I actually installed and configured the servers.Occasionally i participated in business trips for on-site technical interventions.

I contributed in the development of web sites for some commercial activities, among these Hotel Antica Torre di via Tornabuoni 1 (http://www.tornabuoni1.com), in PHP with MySQL as back-end DBMS.

I contributed in the development and maintenance of some modules for a large Healthcare Management web application.The application is based on a proprietary framework (JBF) written in Java and exposes custom tag libraries.

I participated in the development of GIS web applications using Java EE, Ajax, web services (Axis) and the APIs provided by web mapping services including Google Maps, OpenStreetMap and Nokia Maps. I mainly used Oracle DBMS both with direct JDBC connection management and Hibernate.I've had a business trip of 10 days in France.

I supervised the operations in the server room.I worked on IBM S/390 Systems with z/OS.
