I was born in Latina in 1977 and graduated from University of Roma Tre, School of Architecture, in 2003 with a final project thesis entitled “through the void: new design strategies for the World Trade Center in New York”. In 2001 I attended a study abroad program at the University of Arkansas, School of Architecture in Fayetteville.In 2004 I started the professional activity with n!studio – Ferrini & Stella Associated Architects in Rome, where I have been responsible for projects of cultural buildings, museums, heritage, archaeology and landscape in Italy, Europe, China and Vietnam. In 2013 I opened my own architecture practice and in 2018 I founded WISE design, an Italian Design & Architecture practice based in Rome, primarily focused on exhibition design, rehabilitation of historical buildings, urban design projects and interior design. I have been working in the field of promotion of cultural heritage and development of sustainable projects, carrying out in parallel research activity, design coordination, project management, budget oversight, human resources and communication strategies.In 2015 I started teaching Interior Design at Iowa State University, and since 2013 I have been teaching Urban Design and Architectural Analysis for several Study Abroad Programs in Rome including PennState, Carnegie Mellon, Parsons, Connecticut College and UMASS.Since 2019 I have been promoting a multidisciplinary approach to design pedagogy, collaborating with multiple departments of the College of Design at Iowa State University in the conception, organization and development of courses open to architecture, graphic design, industrial design and interior design students. I have personally contributed to the creation of international academic programs such as “Design Intersections” with Tinajin University, Wuhan University, Lanzhou Jiaotong University and Iowa State University. I have either organized or participated to educational events amongst which are the “Biennale Sessions” with Iowa State University, Rome Program at the 57th, 58th and 59th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, and the Workshop “Re-Envisioning the Wall” with the University of Tokyo, the University of Rome La Sapienza and PennState University.In the last decade I have organized several lecture series, inviting renowned Italian and international professionals and scholars in the field of architecture, art, graphic design, interior design, museum curatorship, photography, design management, communication, and architecture visualization.
