As part of the college's continued commitment to achieve excellence in teaching and learning, i work as part of a team of Teaching and Learning Coaches who support on-going professional development and support through one to one and group mentoring and training. The range of CPD includes the integration of digital technologies, schemes of work, lesson plans, embedding equality and diversity, supporting the Maths and English strategy or through peer support, developmental observations, self-reflection observations and bespoke training in differentiation, stretch and challenge and behaviour management.I have specific responsibility to support HE provision, developing and delivering staff CPD across both the Newcastle and Stafford sites, supporting HE lecturing staff.

Since taking up my position at Newcastle College in 2009, I was responsible for initially setting up the BTEC Extended Diploma in Music Technology. Since then we have expanded provision to include Level 2 Diploma in Music, Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Performance, A Level Music Technology and most recently a Foundation Degree in Music Technology in partnership with Staffordshire University.For this academic year, I have also taken on the responsibility of Lead IV for Music provision across both the Stafford and Newcastle campus.

Led in writing the validation proposal for establishing up the Foundation Degree in Music and Audio Production in partnership with Staffordshire University. Since gaining approval in 2011, I have managed the programme including recruitment, KPI reporting and annual monitoring, the day to day management of the systems and procedures, staff recruitment and management and student liaison.I lecture on modules including The Principles and Applications of Acoustics, Live Music Events, Composition, Negotiated Creative Projects and Academic Skills.

I developed One Stop Band Shop to support independent music making, specifically in Staffordshire and Cheshire.A creative collective made up of local recording studios, photographers, music video producers and graphic designers all under one roof. Providing professional yet affordable services for musicians throughout the UK. I managed all aspects of the business sales, marketing and promotion including the ecommerce website build and maintenance, and social media platforms.Passionate about UK music with a goal to support the vibrant music industry that we have in Staffordshire and Cheshire by securing funding to aid local talent to develop their talents and market themselves effectively.
