I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, and in History. Due to my academic interest in and my extensive knowledge of Feminist Theory, Queer Theory and Gender History, I have had the opportunity to work as a lecture assistant at the university. I am also interested in and committed to topics such as equality, inclusion and intersectionality in my private life. I joined the Mercator Foundation Switzerland through the recommendation of a lecturer. At the foundation, I work in the Diversity department and focus on the topic of Gender. In this area, we have launched the pilot project GENDER*ROLLEN, which aims to systemically dismantle gender roles in childhood and adolescence and – in the long term – enable a future that allows for more freedom and equity for everyone.My employment with the foundation began as a temporary internship in order to support the project both in terms of administration and expertise. Since then, my employment has been extended several times and I have been promoted to project assistant. As a team member of GENDER*ROLLEN, I contribute my knowledge of gender studies, L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+, and accessibility to the project. Additionally, I coordinate organisational processes in event management (e.g. managing invitations) and take charge of administrative tasks in project management – such as documenting learnings and transfering knowledge, budget-controlling, and community management.
