- Presenting sessions for the Life! Program to eligible individuals within the community, in order to reduce their risk factors of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and stroke- Assessing the participants’ current health status through a number of questionnaires and collecting body measurements- Developing SMART goals with the participants, based on their requirements and motivations- Presenting and teaching a range of health topics, such as food label reading

- Delivering 15-minute health checks to construction workers, to assess their risk of developing type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease- Completing screening measures including finger prick testing, blood pressure and waist measurements- Tailoring nutrition and lifestyle advice to the construction workers based on their health check results and requirements- Liaising with the site contacts, to ensure that each individual attends their health check- Providing cooking demonstrations to clients, reinforcing the health benefits of ingredients used in meal preparation and how healthy eating can be tasty as well as simple to prepare

Apart of the 'Dairy and Fracture Study' research team, which focuses on aged care residents across Melbourne. Key roles include:- Recording oral intake (food and drink) of residents from breakfast to supper and noting what proportion of their meal is wasted- Discussing with food service staff and chefs about recipes and food products used in the meals prepared for the residents- Assessing the nutritional intake of residents using Foodworks 7

- Food preparation, safety and handling- Working with fellow staff in a team-oriented environment, including communicating with others, managing expectations, working with time pressures and supervising junior staff- Communicating and assisting customers

Clinical areas worked in included Bone Marrow Transplant, Colorectal, Haematology, Head & Neck/Plastics and Medical Oncology.

Alfred, Caulfield And Sandringham Hospitals

Evaluated the 'Healthy Choices Program' across all three Alfred Health sites. This involved completing point prevalence audits on all food/drink items sold in the retail outlets, kiosks, vending machines and catering. Based on the results, recommendations were developed in order to promote the availability of 'green' or the healthiest items sold.

Kensington And Strathmore

Completed qualitative and quantitative nutritional analyses for the meals served at a supported accommodation for residents with a mental illness. Recommendations were provided based on the results, such as simple food substitutions in aim to reduce overall fat, sodium and sugar content of meals provided.
